THE PURSUIT
The Pursuit is Blue Key’s philanthropy event that is held in the Spring semester every year. It began in 2012 when Kathleen McKissack took a vision and made it an amazing event. All of the proceeds benefit the Student Emergency Fund at Clemson University.

"I designed The Pursuit loosely based on a scavenger hunt event held at Mississippi State in the early 1970s. Though there were many goals in the design of the event, first and foremost I wanted to create something that would be fun. In my opinion, there are too many spring philanthropy events at Clemson in which students participate based on some commitment to an organization, person, or cause; but few that sell themselves based on the merit of the activity."

THE PURSUIT TODAY
Today, The Pursuit is a two-day event comprised of a trivia night, and an amazing race type event which raises money for the Student Emergency Fund - a resource created to provide emergency assistance to Clemson students when they need it most. Not only does it help out an amazing cause, but it is pure Clemson fun!
Last year we raised a record of $8,500 that was directly contributed to the SEF. We are very proud of this accomplishment, and commend our members for their thorough fundraising efforts! This year, we are focused on orchestrating an incredible event that enriches students' Clemson experience. Since we were not able to officially host the Pursuit this past spring due to COVID-19, we want to ensure the two-day event this spring is one to remember. We plan to provide participants the opportunity to win the best line up of prizes the Pursuit has ever had to offer, including free Clemson rings, Apple AirPods, Hook and Gaff watches, and so much more! This year's Pursuit will be one you make sure not to miss. Our current Pursuit Director, Nick Iseman, is hard at work planning this year's pursuit. |
